Port-A-Cool is the market leader in portable evaporative cooling units for over 30 years, Port-A-Cool has been able to improve product features constantly by introducing the most innovative evaporative coolers in the market.
Above picture shows the Port-A-Cool 16" Carterfiller which has been the ideal spot cooler because of the mobility and effective cooling of (smaller) work places up to 90m2. Since 1 year Port-A-Cool has a new innovative evaporator on the market, the Port-A-Cool JetStream 1600.
Comparing both units you can see that the Port-A-Cool JetStream posesses louvers and is made of one piece. The water tank has increased from 80 liters up to 150 liters and the cooling effect has improved.
In Europe, we and some distributors have limited availability of these Port-A-Cool 16" models but sufficient stock for inmediate delivery in JetStream 1600.

Climate control in aviation by evaporative cooling
Evaporative coolers are used a lot in the aviation sector, by cooling hangars, outdoor airplane reparation or helicopter aviation. A variation of possible coolers are available. In this case you can see a Port-A-Cool JetStream 2400 cooling technicians while repairing a plane in the open air.
In the other picture you can see a Port-A-Cool JetStream 1600 cooling a hangar. The use of evaporative coolers makes it possible to cool open areas in an effective, economical way. This even means that you can keep the doors open, the cooling effect will even improve!
Another option is to use the evaporative cooler to cool inside a plane or helicopter with or without a ducting adapter. In this case you can see a Port-A-Cool JetStream ducting the cool air inside the helicopter.

Evaporative cooling sport events
Earlier we already gave some examples of applications where the Port-A-Cool evaporative coolers can be seen. The Port-A-Cool being an US-manufactured machine can be very often seen in sports fields to cool down the players during their games. The big advantage of the Port-A-Cool is that the machine is installation-free, it just needs electricity and water (or in the tank or connected with a garden hose) and that it is very succesful in outdoor cooling when the maximum level of ventilation is used.

It just happened to arrive on the same day as twelve 18 wheelers pulled up to unload at our facility. We waterproof and perma press military camouflage uniforms for the military. There is approximately 250 square meter of open space filled with steam presses operating at 176˚ C. With high temperatures of south Mississippi on top of the extreme heat of our presses, the huge A/C’s piping cool air directly to each of the steam press positions could not keep the temperature from rising to unsafe levels. We bought a couple of 36” Port-A-Cool@ evaporative fans and found that they did a super job of supplementing our A/C’s and greatly enhanced the comfort and safety of our employees. The high temperatures can create difficulties in obtaining an agradable work welfare, influencing the productivity and the motivation of the employees. The solution in offices is clear, installing some airconditioning units. However, there are many places where its use is impossible or too expensive and harming the environment like in places as industrial warehouses, logistics centers, factories, workshops, hangars and marquees. The Port-A-Cool system only needs water and electricity to work, consuming a 10% of energy a tradicional airconditioning uses. The machine as well as the water tank are portable to cool the hot work places in the factories, warehouses and workshops, everything without any type of installation.
